Keep It Simple!

Over the years I have seen numerous newsletters, emails & other forms of written communication, sent by multi- national HQs. Although I’ve often admired the quality of English, I think the authors often lose sight of the goal, which is to communicate a message as clearly as possible to culturally diverse recipients. They seem to fail to take into account that not everybody’s level of English is the same. That by using a complicated word rather than a simple one, they might confuse as well as possibly frustrate or anger the reader. Which in some case might make what is written worthless.
